http://www.sciencebuilder.com/michigan.php has many science GLCE vocabulary words defined for students. The words are divided by grade levels and strands. They also have online mini-quizzes to test vocabulary knowledge.

http://www.therouge.org has inforamtion on water quality testing and data interpretation pertaining to the Rouge River. Your class may want to participate in collecting water quality data / interpreting data gathered by other classes from other years. Perhaps you would like to participate in the teacher workshops that are offered to learn the protocols for water quality testing. It's all there.
