Brief description:
In this session, you’ll step inside Michigan’s fast-growing network of teacher-led Project-Based Learning (PBL) and discover how educators are transforming classrooms through authentic, inquiry-driven experiences. Whether you’re just beginning your PBL journey or are already leading projects in your school or district, this session will offer practical insights and opportunities to connect with a statewide network of educators.
Our speakers will highlight how teacher leadership, regional collaboration, and strategic support are advancing the broader vision of 3P learning—Project, Problem, and Place-based learning—across Michigan. One focus of this session will be understanding how teachers and districts can move from strong PBL foundations toward integrating place-based learning, creating powerful connections between classrooms and communities.
In addition to learning about statewide strategies, participants will hear directly from classroom teachers about how 3P learning is being implemented and the impact it’s having on student engagement, community connections, and authentic learning experiences.
